Graduate IT Support – Service Desk Analyst

They are looking to expand their IT Support team and are looking to hire someone who is passionate about all things IT and is an absolute ‘techie’
You dont need to have any commercial experience in IT Support but will have recently graduated with an IT related degree and will feel comfortable speaking to customers/users in a busy environment.
Your day to day responsibilities as an IT Support Engineer will be;
To provide high quality, telephone-based, technical support on a wide range of Industrial Software and associated products, following operating procedures and standards
To exceed our expectations for customer satisfaction
To ensure that each issue is logged appropriately and the information contained in it is relevant and up-to-date, keeping customers informed of the progress of any issue that is not resolved immediately, and escalating issues appropriately in accordance with Company Policy
To drive customer sales by ensuring sales opportunities arising from technical discussions are communicated to the relevant team
To be a trusted advisor for the products allocated including certification on products where applicable
To stay up to date with the development of new products & operating systems
To assist in the introduction and continuous improvement of Procedures and standard
As an IT Support Engineer / Graduate IT Support Engineer you will already hold the following experience/skillset;
1.A recent IT Graduate
2.The ability to be customer focused
3.Strong computing skills
4.Competent with Microsoft Operating Systems
5.Willingness to learn new software and hardware skills
6.Strong communication skills
7.Confident and polite telephone manner
8.The ability to provide support services
9.Strong problem solving skills
10.The ability to multi task and prioritise work
11.Being able to work as part of a team
12.Being able to align to the company values
Any experience or knowledge of the following would be DESIRABLE but not ESSENTIAL
1.SCADA packages (eg Wonderware System Platform; Siemens Simatic etc);
2.HMI packages (eg Wonderware Intouch, Rockwell RSView etc)
4.ITIL V3 foundation understanding
5.Computer hardware understanding
7.A general interest and desire to understand and work with current and future technologies
8.Database or SQL Server knowledge
